Swedish Dish Cloths / Sponge Cloths are an awesome alternative to paper towels. Made of cotton and wood cellulose fibres and printed with water-based inks, they start off rigid and become soft and pliable in water. Their highly absorbent nature is perfect for all your surface wipe-down needs. Not only can you wash them in the dishwasher or washing machine (up to 200 times!) but when they're finally spent they can go in your compost bin! An established kitchen staple in Scandinavia, these have gained popularity in North America recently because of their sustainability and versatility (and gosh, are they ever cute).
